Recall for Smart Everyday Notes

Take your personal notes to the next level. With Recall, your journals, productivity logs, and even your recipes become interactive, organized, and full of insights you can actually use.

Journals

Write daily reflections, connect entries over time, and ask Recall to highlight recurring themes.

How

  1. Take Notes - Capture reflections, recipes, or ideas in your own words.
  2. Connect Them - Link related notes to reveal themes, patterns, and relationships.
  3. Chat with Them - Ask Recall to summarize, expand, or surface insights directly from your notes.

A Workflow for Journaling in Recall

Here’s a step-by-step guide to taking your personal journals in Recall, connecting your entries together, and then chatting with them to uncover themes, trends, and insights that can help you better understand yourself and improve your routines.

Add a Journal Entry

  • Add Note - Click “Add content” in the top right corner of the app and select “+ Empty Note.”
  • Add a Tag - Use nested tags like Journals/2025/Month.
  • Add a Title - Include the date, e.g., “1 October 2025.”
  • Start Typing - The structure and flow of your entry can vary depending on your style.

Create Connections

Depending on themes or keywords, create connections for people, places, emotions, etc. This links your journals and notes in meaningful ways:

  • People - Type / and enter a person’s name, e.g., “Mum,” then select “create blank card.” Tag it as a person and add notes about them.
  • Emotions - Type / and enter an emotion, e.g., “Angry,” then select the Wikipedia page for anger. This pulls in content from Wikipedia to enrich your note.

Chat

  • Single Card Chat - Start by chatting with a single entry. For example, analyze your day to identify key moments or ways it could have been improved.
  • Chat with Knowledge Base - Once you have enough journals, run more advanced prompts to analyze habits and themes:

“What are the core psychological themes in my @Journals? List them in chronological order and describe how they evolve.”

Use follow-up prompts to optimize routines based on external sources you’ve saved:

“Based on these themes, how can I optimize my daily routine using the research in @Health?”
